What is a furry?
Great question! Furries are a group of people who enjoy anthropomorphic animals, or animals with human-like qualities. A great example would be the characters from Disneys Zootopia. Furries come from all walks of life and are a very diverse community that expands across the world and even into space!
Members in the community typically create their own character known as a Fursona. These characters can be basic or complex in design and are limited only by the imagination. Fursonias may or may not communicate verbally, walk on two or four legs, or have interesting backstories to them.
Many in the community enjoy making/wearing fursuits. A fursuit is a costume designed to represent a fursonia, and like fursonias, the fursuit can be simple or complex. Most furries wear their fursuits to conventions, smaller furry events, parades, and Halloween.
